The Tioga, ND police department had some very unique training last month with the help of the community members. On February 25^th more than thirty kids ranging from 2 to 16 years old joined the Tioga Police Department for our 2^nd annual Coco with the Popo event sponsored by Cash Wise. During this event families were provided with hot chocolate, lunch, and cookies which were served by the Cash Wise employees. After filling their bellies, children, and even some parents picked up a laser gun, chose a team, and went to battle. *Insert dramatic music here.*

Officers and kids participated in multiple friendly but competitive games of laser tag at the Tioga Community Center during the three hour event. The Tioga Police Department Officers put up a good fight but were no match to the children of Tioga and surrounding towns.         

  This event amongst others is geared toward fostering relationships between children and our officers. Our police department strives to build police-community relations to aim at changing citizen’s attitudes toward police officers and improve police relationships with the community.
